Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Christian County

Christian County waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Hopkinsville Tigers 65-49. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 57-37 victory back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian County to victory, but perhaps none more so than NeVaeh Day, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 21 rebounds. Day's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaysia Bagwell, who went 6-for-14 en route to 17 points along with five boards and three steals.

Christian County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Hopkinsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Christian County nor Hopkinsville have any future games scheduled.
