Basketball Recap: Atlantic Takes Down North Marion in a Playoff Battle

Atlantic extended their postseason success on Monday against North Marion. They blew past the North Marion Colts 67-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Sharks have posted since January 14th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Atlantic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emmanuel Martin, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Martin has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mekhi Yan, who went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

Atlantic was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Marion only racked up five assists.

North Marion lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jerdarrius Jackson, who put up 18 points and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Coy Sizemore, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points.

Atlantic is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for North Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.

Coming up, Atlantic will take on Eustis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eustis will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Atlantic surely won't give up without a fight. North Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
