Jo Byrns waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 66-62 W against the Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 77-64 victory last Friday.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bennett Altepeter, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 19 points. That's the most points Altepeter has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Harrison Gill, who had 13 points along with six assists and six boards.

Jo Byrns' win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Merrol Hyde Magnet, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.
