Basketball Game Preview: Pioneer Patriots vs. River City Raiders

Pioneer is on a five-game streak of home losses, River City a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Pioneer Patriots will host the River City Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, Pioneer took a blow against Rodriguez, falling 90-63. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 970th, while the Mustangs are ranked 198th).

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matchups, River City finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were beaten by Sacramento 80-27.

River City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Pioneer strolled past River City when the teams last played back in January of 2018 by a score of 67-49. Does Pioneer have another victory up their sleeve, or will River City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
