Basketball Recap: Franklin Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

If Cosumnes Oaks wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Franklin, they should've done a better job of containing Aiden Rollins. The Franklin Wildcats came out on top against the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack by a score of 88-79 on Wednesday thanks in part to Rollins, who went 14 for 22 on his way to 34 points and six rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Benjamin Sandy was another key player, going 6 of 13 en route to 20 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Loss or not, Cosumnes Oaks got some senior leadership from Devin Jones and Jeremiah Boatwright. Jones went 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points, while Boatwright went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and three steals. Boatwright is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zamir Khan, who posted eight points.

The win made it two in a row for Franklin and bumps their season record up to 19-4. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-54 victory against Pleasant Grove on the 31st. Cosumnes Oaks has also already played their next game, a 94-54 defeat against Sheldon on the 31st.
