Softball Recap: Steeleville Warriors vs. New Athens Yellow Jackets
Steeleville won the last time they faced New Athens and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Corinne Mueller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
