Baseball Recap: Westbrook Wildcats vs. Nazareth Swifts

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Westbrook was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 7-2 to the Nazareth Swifts. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Swifts apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Westbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Beasley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Tyson Jones also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Westbrook's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Nazareth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Westbrook will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on San Angelo HomeSchool at 2:30 p.m. on March 14th. As for Nazareth, they will challenge New Deal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
