Baseball Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon lost against South Spencer back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 7-1 to the Rebels.

Mt. Vernon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Caldemeyer, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Spencer, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mt. Vernon will take on rival Gibson Southern at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, South Spencer is set to face off against their familiar foe Pike Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
