Hackett had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They strolled past the Westside Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 57-42. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Rebels are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hackett's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Westside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackett will host Hector at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hector knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Hackett likes a good challenge. As for Westside, they will face off against Danville at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
