Volleyball Recap: Central Victorious

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Schurz Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Central took both sets by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8.

Joselyn Johnson paced Central's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson got some help from Gabby Alesi and her 11 assists.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 18-15. As for Schurz, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Central will be playing in front of their home fans against IC Catholic Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Schurz does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
