Softball Recap: John Bapst Memorial Starts Season with Defeat at Home

John Bapst Memorial unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 12-2 to the Belfast Lions on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

John Bapst Memorial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Bouchard, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

The victory was the third in a row for Belfast, bringing their record up to 3-0.

John Bapst Memorial didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Waterville on the 1st. As for Belfast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-0 victory against Mount View on the 1st.
