Baseball Recap: Central Bucks East's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Central Bucks East won the last time they faced Central Bucks South and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots came out on top against the Titans by a score of 6-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Central Bucks East got a great performance from Jason Abert as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Abert has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brendan Keiser, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Sean Hill Jr was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Central Bucks East's record now sits at 7-10. As for Central Bucks South, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

Central Bucks East will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Titans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
