Baseball Recap: Slater Wildcats vs. Jamestown

Slater lost to Jamestown back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats lost 9-2 to Jamestown. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Tristen Klasing was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Klasing was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.

Slater's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Jamestown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Slater will host Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jamestown, they will head out to face off against New Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Jamestown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
