Baseball Recap: Buffalo Valley Gets the Win

Buffalo Valley came out on top against Bokoshe on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Buffaloes' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers an 11-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buffaloes.

The team relied heavily on Blythe Griffitts, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Griffitts is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Justice Knowles was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Buffalo Valley now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo Valley will host Whitesboro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bokoshe, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McCurtain at 4:00 p.m. on the 26th.
