Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian lost against Arthur-Okaw Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cornerstone Christian Cyclones received a blow as they fell 44-26 to the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders. The Cyclones' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian still got an impressive performance from Hope Lehman, who posted ten points.

Arthur-Okaw Christian found their leader in freshman Avery Herschberger, who scored 21 points and five steals. Brileigh Mast was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Cornerstone Christian has already played their next game, a 35-23 victory against Lowpoint-Washburn on the 8th. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 39-28 win against Chrisman on the 10th.
