Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Lynx vs. Shorewood Stormrays

The Lincoln Lynx will head out to face off against the Shorewood Stormrays at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Lincoln came up short against Franklin and fell 71-62. The Lynx have struggled against the Quakers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Shorewood unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 64-50 to Shorecrest. While losing is never fun, the Stormrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Scots are ranked ninth).

Lincoln's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5. As for Shorewood, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Lincoln was taken down by Shorewood 65-16 in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lincoln was down 38-13.
