Baseball Recap: Lowell Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lowell entered their tilt with Woodside on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Wildcats. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered an 8-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Julian Cook was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Cook wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Auden Szalva, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Szalva has posted since back in March.

Lowell's record is now 15-7. As for Woodside, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Lowell has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 victory against Mission on the 23rd. As for Woodside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Half Moon Bay on the 22nd.
