Football Preview: Archbishop Bergan Knights vs. Yutan Chieftains

Archbishop Bergan is 6-1 against Yutan since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Archbishop Bergan Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yutan Chieftains at 7:00 p.m.

Despite their defeat, Archbishop Bergan saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alex Kimminau, who picked up 145 receiving yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Kimminau was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Scheuler, who threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Yutan can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Conestoga 39-7 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yutan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Egr, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. The dominant performance gave Egr a new career-high in rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Nathan Daniell, who rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown.
