Basketball Recap: Bedford Falls Short Against Ranked Alvirne

On Friday, Bedford faced Alvirne in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Bedford Bulldogs took a 72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alvirne Broncos. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bedford's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Alvirne, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will host Keene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bedford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Alvirne, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Manchester Central at 6:30 p.m. Alvirne is facing Manchester Central at the right time seeing as Manchester Central is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
