Pinckneyville waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Trico Pioneers. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Brayden Cleland was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Marlow, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Pinckneyville's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Trico, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Pinckneyville will challenge Elverado at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trico, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waterloo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
