Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Denby). They blew past the Northwestern Colts 80-36 on Tuesday. Given the Tars' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Colts are ranked 579th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Denby's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Northwestern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Denby will challenge Detroit Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Northwestern, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hope Of Detroit Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 14th.
