Volleyball Recap: Eastland Comes Up Short

Eastland saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fremd Vikings.

Trixie Carroll paced Eastland's offense, picking up ten kills. Carroll got some help from Keara Kaus and her 20 assists. Vanessa Allen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Eastland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-7 record this season. As for Fremd, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Eastland has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Hononegah on the 11th. As for Fremd, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Glenbrook South on the 11th.
