Football Recap: Grant Piles Up the Points Against Destiny Christian Academy + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Grant, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over the Destiny Christian Academy Lions. The Pacers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Grant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shiren Crump led the charge by throwing for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes. Crump's passing game has become a key predictor of the Pacers' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise. Malikii Lavern was in the mix as well, providing Grant with two TDs.

Grant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Grant's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Sosaia Noa with 2.5 sacks. Grant got some further help from Gary Tia: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles.

Grant's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Destiny Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Grant and Destiny Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Pacers (ranked 49th) will meet West Park (ranked 202nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Destiny Christian Academy will challenge Cordova at 7:15 p.m. on the 17th with a big rank advantage (276 vs. 706).
