Volleyball Recap: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Brunswick Academy Vikings.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9, 25-20.

Julianna Dimperio paced Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Dimperio got some help from Jossy Byars and her 11 assists.

Brunswick Academy's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will head out to square off against Isle of Wight Academy at 6:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Brunswick Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Kerr-Vance Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
