Football Recap: Caleb Carlisle's Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Philadelphia over Lexington

New Philadelphia played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-20 to the Lexington Minutemen. While losing is never fun, the Quakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Minutemen are ranked 61st).

Several Quakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Carlisle, who picked up 69 receiving yards and one score.

With the loss, New Philadelphia broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4. As for Lexington, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
