Volleyball Recap: West Port Takes a Loss

West Port was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Tampa Bay HEAT.

Despite the loss, West Port saw an underclassman step up: freshman Luis Monserat had 14 digs and seven aces.

West Port's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Tampa Bay HEAT, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

West Port will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against University at 10:00 a.m. The Wolf Pack are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Tampa Bay HEAT, they will be taking part in a tournament against Creekside at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
