Football Game Preview: Marian Catholic Spartans vs. Providence Catholic Celtics

Marian Catholic is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against St. Francis on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Despite their defeat, Marian Catholic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kyle Scott, who rushed for 16 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 49 receiving yards, was perhaps the best of all. Andrew Goers also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Providence Catholic hadn't done well against Loyola Academy recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Celtics won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Ramblers 21-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Celtics.

Marian Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Providence Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
