Baseball Recap: Clinton Starts off Right with Win over Faith Christian

Clinton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Faith Christian Eagles a 22-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Logan Thill and Gavin Wesling made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Thill pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wesling pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Thill scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Wesling went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI.

In other batting news, Grayson Guestchow was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Carter Gile, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
