Softball Recap: Chaparral Sets Scoring Season-High Against Irvin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chaparral). They were the clear victor by a 26-10 margin over the Irvin Rockets on Friday. The Lobos not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2024.

Sophia Duron was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abrianna Moreno, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3.

Chaparral was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .471 that Irvin posted.

Chaparral moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Irvin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-10 loss against Da Vinci on the 28th. As for Irvin, they have also already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Mountain View on the 1st.
