It was a good run, but Tomball Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the College Park Cavaliers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 428th).

College Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sachi Lee led the charge by putting up eight points. Another player making a difference was Gretchen Wright, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Tomball Memorial's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-3. As for College Park, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tomball Memorial will welcome Klein at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Klein will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Tomball Memorial surely won't give up without a fight. As for College Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
