Baseball Game Preview: Bluffton Pirates vs. North Baltimore Tigers

The Bluffton Pirates will challenge the North Baltimore Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Bluffton's offense. They fell 5-0 to Lincolnview on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, North Baltimore unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elgin.

Bluffton dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for North Baltimore, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

Bluffton took their victory against North Baltimore when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
