Hillcrest is a perfect 10-0 against Paul W. Bryant since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hillcrest Patriots will square off against the Paul W. Bryant Stampede at 7:15 p.m. Hillcrest has given up an average of 3 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Hillcrest fell victim to Prattville and their airtight defense last Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Lions are ranked third).

Meanwhile, Paul W. Bryant came into Thursday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Holy Spirit Catholic last Thursday, sneaking past 4-3. It was an even better day for Diego Marquez as he scored three goals for his team.

Paul W. Bryant picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Hillcrest's way against Paul W. Bryant when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Hillcrest made off with a 10-0 victory. Will Hillcrest repeat their success, or does Paul W. Bryant have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
