Volleyball Recap: South Iredell Vikings vs. Alexander Central Cougars
South Iredell managed to slip by Alexander Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Cougars on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-18.
Alexander Central found their leader in sophomore Gemma Benton, who had five aces and five assists. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Benton.
