Basketball Recap: Northfield Takes a Loss

Northfield suffered their closest loss since January 14th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Austin Packers by a score of 63-61. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Packers earlier this season, when they won 63-41.

Northfield's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Austin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Northfield will face off against Owatonna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Owatonna is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. As for Austin, they will take on Winona at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Austin is facing Winona at the right time seeing as Winona is stuck on a 25-game losing streak.
