Basketball Recap: Crest Ridge Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Crest Ridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 victory over the Concordia Fighting Orioles. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Crest Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Concordia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Crest Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-21 victory against Windsor on the 16th. As for Concordia, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crest Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
