Volleyball Recap: D'evelyn Continues Home Dominance on Friday

D'Evelyn had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Alameda on Friday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant D'Evelyn was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-13.

Elijah Osborne paced D'Evelyn's offense, picking up seven kills. Osborne got some help from Tarin Cavanaugh and his 24 assists. Cavanaugh was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

D'Evelyn's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Alameda, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
