Soccer Recap: Siloam Springs Beats Van Buren for Their Sixth Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Siloam Springs). Their defense stepped up to hand the Van Buren Pointers a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Siloam Springs have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Van Buren from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Mesa Broquard led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The win (which was Siloam Springs' sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those six contests. As for Van Buren, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Siloam Springs will square off against Mountain Home at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Van Buren does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
