Volleyball Recap: Benton Falls Despite Big Games from Tayva Stoutenborough and Arianna Stochl

Benton lost against River Ridge back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Zephyrs lost 3-0 to the Timberwolves.

Benton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-22, 25-10.

Benton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Arianna Stochl, who had ten digs and four assists, and Tayva Stoutenborough, who had eight digs.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for River Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Benton will be playing in front of their home fans against Potosi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for River Ridge, they will take on Viroqua in a tournament on Saturday.
