Recap: St. James Tigers vs. Lebanon Yellowjackets

On Saturday, St. James had to suffer through a rough 72-39 loss at the hands of the Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, St. James can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 138th).

Lebanon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Boggs, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Boggs grabbed two or more steals. Caleb Ray was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

St. James has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. James will take on the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Newburg's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Lebanon is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Zizzers at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th.
