Soccer Recap: Northeast Finishes Even with St. Petersburg

For the first time since back in November, Northeast was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. Neither they nor the St. Petersburg Green Devils could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Northeast's record moves to 8-4-2. As for St. Petersburg, they moved theirs to 8-0-1.

After both having extra time off, Northeast and Tampa Prep will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Tampa Prep's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Northeast's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Petersburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against St. Petersburg Catholic on the 20th.
