Carmel had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Everett Alvarez on Friday. The Padres were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Padres have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Olivia Tringali made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Tringali was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Annabella Schroeder, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Delilah Herro was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
