Basketball Game Preview: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Denver East Angels

The Vista PEAK Prep Bison will square off against the Denver East Angels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Vista PEAK Prep took a blow against Legend, falling 85-50. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Titans are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Denver East). They were the clear victor by a 71-46 margin over Chaparral on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Angels as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Vista PEAK Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Denver East, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-7.

Vista PEAK Prep came up short against Denver East when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 60-54. Can Vista PEAK Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
