Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] hadn't done well against Cloquet recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wolverines never let the Lumberjacks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Wolverines' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Blake Bailey made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Bailey was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Aiden Bird was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Caz Carlson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
