Murphy dropped their record down to 6-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals, falling 20-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-9 back in March.

As for St. Michael Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-17. Considering they have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For St. Michael Catholic's part, Addison Pratt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Pratt was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Amelia Johnson was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
