Baseball Recap: Mount Tahoma Takes a Loss

Mount Tahoma fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Eatonville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 12-9 to the Cruisers. The T-Birds haven't had much luck with the Cruisers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Carson Roll made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Mount Tahoma's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-9 when he doesn't). DJ Geddis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mount Tahoma's record is now 3-10. As for Eatonville, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Coming up, Mount Tahoma will take on Silas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eatonville, they will square off against Franklin Pierce at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cruisers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season.
