Volleyball Recap: Plainfield South Comes Up Short

Plainfield South was the 2-0 winner over St. Charles North when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the North Stars by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Plainfield South still got an impressive performance from George Jimenez, who had 23 digs and two assists. Jimenez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Plainfield South's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for St. Charles North, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Plainfield South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Metea Valley on the 19th. As for St. Charles North, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Benet Academy on the 19th.
