R.A. Long had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Hudson's Bay on Monday. The Lumberjacks blew past the Eagles 8-0. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for R.A. Long, bringing their record up to 12-7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Hudson's Bay, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. R.A. Long will take on rival Columbia River at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lumberjacks 3.6, the Rapids 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Hudson's Bay is set to square off against their familiar foe Mark Morris at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
