Soccer Game Preview: Arcadia vs. King William

The Arcadia Firebirds will head out to square off against the King William Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arcadia's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Arcadia's offense. They lost 13-0 to Tabb on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Arcadia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Tabb are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, King William came into Monday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Westmoreland on Monday, sneaking past 2-1.

Arcadia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for King William, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-10.

Arcadia might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from King William in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Firebirds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
