Meanwhile, Mount Vernon hadn't done well against Falls Church recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Majors were the clear victors by a 22-11 margin over the Jaguars. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Majors this season.
Lily Grimsley was a standout: she fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those home runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Lytkowski, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI.

Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Osbourn has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .562. However, it's not like Mount Vernon struggles in that department as they've averaged .500. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
