Volleyball Game Preview: Southport Cardinals vs. Central Christian Academy Chargers

The Southport Cardinals will square off against the Central Christian Academy Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Southport is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Franklin Community, who was ranked 12th at the time (Southport was ranked 25th). The Cardinals fell just short of the Grizzly Cubs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Central Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to International back in April.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23.

Southport's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Central Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
